Resolved Question: Safe to wear a Colorado Rockies cap?

I am just a regular white guy and a huge baseball fan. I collect authentic on-field 59fifty baseball caps and wear random teams when I go out places. The problem is that many, if not all baseball caps are worn by gang members. They create false meanings that the hat portrays on the streets. I hear that the Colorado Rockies cap is used by many Crips. I have done lots of research on it. The thing is, I really want to get this cap, but I don't want to be beat up or even shot just for wearing it. Maybe I am ridiculous for thinking this, but it bothers me a lot. To normal people it stands for "Colorado Rockies", but to gangsters, it could stand for something offensive and represent a rival gang. I wouldn't say I live in a bad area. My area seems to be clean for the most part, but you never know who's out there. I live in the metro-Atlanta area in Georgia. Would I have to worry? If I do end up getting the cap, I will be wearing it with my band outfit (I play in a band and have and the Rockies have the perfect cap that will suit my look), occasionally to my college classes, and random times when I am out hanging. Is there anything I need to worry about? What would you say? BTW I wear my caps like a true baseball player. Never sideways or backwards. I also bend the brim slightly so it isn't perfectly flat....
