1987, while Barry Larkin was never great, except for 1 season when he one the MVP in 1995. Dale Murphy was a back to back MVP, 2 time MVP, he, along with Roger Maris, are the only 2 time MVP winners who aren't in the Hall of Fame, Murphy won the MVP in 1982 and 1983. I'm 39 years old, and grew up in the 80's and was a huge Dale Murphy fan. Bigtime baseball card collector, and had all of his cards, including many rookies. I truly can't believe he's not in the Hall of Fame. With these stats. And the sad thing is, he only has one more year left of eligibility from the writers, 2013. Murphy was a clean player and had 398 HR's, that's a lot of hr's to not be on juice. I think that the writers have made a huge mistake by not voting in Murphy. He was a GREAT player for several years. And to me, that's being a hall of famer. Larkin was a very good player for several years, and had a small peak. Murphy's peak was way longer. What do you think?
